Adoption of Meeting Minutes, Meeting #13 held on 9/20/2020

*Meeting-small agenda, mostly introductory/information, start time: 4:30 pm. Dinner 5:30 pm.
*Need a close head-count for attendance. Venue seats 68, event will be catered.

*Crevier to report on a new phone app for suicide prevention: “Objective Zero”
*Guest speaker: Mackenzie Krause, Zach’s Wife is attending graduate school at Indiana
University. Completing her practicum through the VA as a mental health case-worker field. She
will try to help us answer questions pertaining to Crisis Intervention education. And help us to
chart a path forward with for our primary mission: Finding a way to recruit and add more
mental health professionals to the supply-side of the equation. Secondary mission: Referral
agency for mental health services or other veteran needs.
*What are the basic levels of mental health credentials from basic, crisis intervention to a full-blown psychology degree?
*State reciprocity, or national standards?
*What are the approximate costs and timeframes to achieve each successive
*Grant Writing considerations, possible help?
Board member Steimle has designed some nice business cards-next steps?
*Volunteer needed to research other Veteran-First Responder Non-profits and/or mental health
treatment centers. I.e. Name, location, mission, contact info for our referral database. Bret will design a
spreadsheet to facilitate findings. With the understanding that after initial contact with a client, we
would refer them to further treatment/help.
*Assistant Secretary Steimle is researching grant opportunities.
